Ashraf Tubeileh

Ashraf Tubeileh was born and raised in Nablus, Palestine, in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. After completing university there, he received a scholarship to pursue his doctoral studies in agronomy in Nancy, France in 1995, where he met his wife, who was also a graduate student. After graduating, the couple moved to her home country of Syria where Ashraf completed a postdoctoral program. Along with their young son and daughter, the family then migrated to Canada in 2007 where Ashraf worked at the University of Guelph. In 2015, Ashraf joined the faculty at Cal Poly’s Horticultural and Crop Science Program, and the family eventually settled in their current home in Pismo Beach.
